And when there are things you don't understand, or don't know how they work, as a child you're quick to ask "how?" You don't pretend you know something that you don't, and you're not ashamed of your ignorance because you know that in order not to be ignorant, the only thing you need to do is ask. Because only by asking will you find the answer.
As we grew up however, something happens. We lose all of these childish capacities for wonder and to be in awe. Instead we become adults that are full of opinions and beliefs, that are not really willing to ask questions because we think we know all the answers, and that are quick to judge other people, especially those who don't share our beliefs and interests. The adults world is one of cynicism, assumption and judgement. It is a monochromic existence whereas the child's is one of the brightest of colours.
